From Fashion Capitals to Becoming a Wedding Photographer in Houston

Before making Texas my home, my career was shaped by some of the world’s most vibrant cultural hubs. I lived in Istanbul a breathtaking world metropolis surrounded by seas, deeply rooted in history and dripping with art. Later, my path took me through the high-fashion lanes of Paris, New York, and Miami. In those cities, my focus was strictly editorial and fashion. In Miami, I spent years directing high-end editorial shoots, creating comprehensive lookbooks and portfolio cards for aspiring models, and capturing striking album covers for music artists. In those days, I couldn’t imagine a world outside of editorial and fashion photography. Then, about 12 years ago, I relocated from Miami and settled in Texas.

Houston was unlike any city I had ever experienced. While places like Paris or New York focus heavily on the transient world of fashion trends, Houston has a completely different heartbeat. Here, people build thriving careers and immediately focus on what matters most: creating a family and a lasting legacy. This beautiful cultural dynamic makes being a wedding photographer in Houston incredibly meaningful and highly sought after. In my previous chapters, I worked with actors, models, and artists during their career milestones. But Houston opened my eyes to a deeper calling: documenting the milestones of real life.

Shifting the Lens to Authentic Love Stories

For the past 12 years, I have successfully blended my high-fashion background with real life romance, establishing a signature editorial style wedding photography framework right here in Texas. Transitioning from studio sets to capturing weddings and engagements has been an incredibly rewarding evolution. Every wedding has its own pace, its own energy, and its own unspoken moments that happen in the blink of an eye. My background allows me to anticipate those moments before they even occur, ensuring that no tear, smile, or subtle glance is ever missed.

Photographing a wedding is entirely different from a fashion editorial. Knowing that the visual legacy I create through my lens will outlive us all becoming a historical document passed down to grandchildren and future generations brings an indescribable sense of purpose to my craft. When you look back at your gallery decades from now, I want you to feel the exact emotions of that day. It is a profound honor to document your authentic love story with the same meticulous precision I learned on film so many years ago.
