The Simplicity of a “Just the Two of Us” Ceremony

For Michelle and Tobi, their special day was defined by perfect simplicity. Held at The Courthouse Wedding Chapel near North Sam Houston (IAH), the ceremony was as intimate as it gets. With just the two of them in attendance, we bypassed the usual rush of large family portraits. Instead, we focused entirely on their connection, their laughter, and the quiet moments of saying “I do.” It was also wonderful to work once again with the officiating Judge, who always brings great energy to these sessions.

From the Chapel to Mercer Botanical Gardens

Many couples choose to do a quick official ceremony first, saving their big wedding plans for a later date. But a smaller guest list doesn’t mean you compromise on beautiful portraits. Following their chapel micro wedding, we headed to Mercer Botanical Gardens, one of the best parks for photography in Houston. The lush greenery provided a gorgeous, relaxed backdrop for their first portraits as husband and wife.
